How can
I create a hot folder that will automatically upload all files
I save or copy to it?
osXigen ships with a scripts.sit file in the osXigen.dmg. The scripts.sit
contains an example of a Folder Action Script. Just follow the following
steps:
1) Extract the scripts.sit
2) Copy the "Auto Upload with osXigen.scpt" file to "~/Library/Scripts/Folder
Action Scripts", rename it to whatever suits you
3) Edit the script by double-clicking on it
4) Read the instructions on top of the file and modify the server
info to match the server/login and path you want to automatically upload
to
5) (Mac OS X 10.3/Pather only) From the Finder, select a Folder
to attach the script to and, right-click/control-click on it, select
"Attach
a
Folder
Action..." and select the action you just created
If you are not using Mac OS X 10.3, then follow the instructions
on top of the "Auto Upload with osXigen.scpt" to enable and attach
the folder action to a folder
6) Now drop a file to the folder to make sure the folder/action
are properly configured. The file should be uploaded to the server |
