osXigen is pronounced just like oxygen. The name was made up from mixing OSX with oxygen (oxygen is one of the chemical element of Aqua = Water).

Why can't I drag'n'drop to the Finder?

This is Apple's fault. Apple did not release the required APIs to implement this feature. We will implement this as soon as they release the Cocoa API to do it.

Update: This is supported with osXigen 2.0 (or greater) and Mac OS X 10.2 (or greater)

Make sure you copy the user name and key directly from the email. After you copy the dialog should change to "Registered" mode.

If this fails, then do the following:

1) Close osXigen

2) Delete the file com.jomosoft.osXigen.osXigen.plist from the ~/Library/Preferences

3) Start osXigen and copy the user name and key from the email receipt to the dialog box. If it still does not work, then please email us at support@jomosoft.com

How can I create a hot folder that will automatically upload all files I save or copy to it?

osXigen ships with a scripts.sit file in the osXigen.dmg. The scripts.sit contains an example of a Folder Action Script. Just follow the following steps:

1) Extract the scripts.sit

2) Copy the "Auto Upload with osXigen.scpt" file to "~/Library/Scripts/Folder Action Scripts", rename it to whatever suits you

3) Edit the script by double-clicking on it

4) Read the instructions on top of the file and modify the server info to match the server/login and path you want to automatically upload to

5) (Mac OS X 10.3/Pather only) From the Finder, select a Folder to attach the script to and, right-click/control-click on it, select "Attach a Folder Action..." and select the action you just created

If you are not using Mac OS X 10.3, then follow the instructions on top of the "Auto Upload with osXigen.scpt" to enable and attach the folder action to a folder

6) Now drop a file to the folder to make sure the folder/action are properly configured. The file should be uploaded to the server

How can I create a droplet?

osXigen ships with a scripts.sit file in the osXigen.dmg. The scripts.sit contains an example of a droplet.

Just extract the scripts.scpt and copy the droplet to your desktop. Now edit it and change the server info to match your server. You can now drop files and folders on the droplet to automatically upload them.
